We are looking to hire three to four assistants and/or interns for the 2023 wedding season. 

 

Day-Of Assistants will work closely with the lead planner in ensuring every aspect of the client’s wedding is executed seamlessly. This is a part-time position for those looking to make extra money in the summer.

 

The intern position is for those passionate about weddings and looking to start/continue learning about the wedding industry. Interns will attend every ceremony rehearsal and wedding with the goal of learning how to lead rehearsals and weddings on their own. 

 

Responsibilities

• Greet guests

• Gather and distribute any ceremony items at ceremony site

• Act as wedding party concierge

• Assist with guest management

• Assist with transporting and setting up and breaking down ceremony and reception decor

• Oversee that set-up is as requested

• Serve as the point of contact for all vendors

• Ensure the order of events runs smoothly and stays on schedule

• Respond to last minute emergencies or changes

• Problem solve and trouble shoot as needed

• Be ready for anything! Every event is different and may require duties and tasks not listed above.

 

Qualifications

• One year of hospitality experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate if you do not have any hospitality experience

• Must have reliable transportation to and from each event

• Must be able to work on the weekends

• Ability to lift 50 pounds

• Able to listen and take direction well

• Ability to stay calm and remain positive in stressful situations

• Attention to detail

• Reliable and punctual

 

Additional Information

• Wedding days range from 6-12 hour shifts. 

• Events are located in different towns and cities across Connecticut at venues and private estates.

• Seasonal position with events mostly on Fridays, Saturdays, and some Sundays.
